Citrus reticulata Blanco (sensu Swingle and Reece 1967, Mabberley 1997, 2004; sensu Tanaka sec. Cottin 2002)
The Chiefland Budwood Facility (2010) provided the following notes on the cultivar (clone DPI-134): "Orri mandarin was derived from irradiated budwood of Orah mandarin (a Temple x Dancy hybrid) by citrus breeders in Israel....Entered Florida through CGIP in 2001; shoot-tip grafted and pathogen indexing completed in 2004. Budwood released and available to Florida growers with license agreements in 2006. Patented"
Crown compact or dense, not weeping. First-year twig surface glabrous; second- or third-year twig surface; thorns absent or not persistent; prickles absent or not persistent. Petiole glabrous, length medium; wings narrow or medium, adjoining the blade. Leaflets one, margin bluntly toothed, shade leaflet blades flat or weakly conduplicate, sun leaflet blades weakly conduplicate. Scent of crushed leaflets mandarin-like. Fruit broader than long; rind yellow (7-10), yellow-orange (11), or orange (12); rind texture slightly rough (4-5); firmness leathery; navel present; flesh orange; taste acidic-sweet.
The Chiefland Budwood Facility (2010) provided the following additional notes on the cultivar (clone DPI-134): "Fruit is seedless to few seeds, easy to peel, and has an excellent flavor."
